The last video of this series! Here I cover a great product from Pettit Paint! Their barrier coat system called Pettit Protect.
An easy to use protective system that helps prevent the formation of blisters in the fiberglass. You can find more information on this product HERE…
This system is mixed 3:1 (3 parts base to 1 part catalyst) and if needed can be thinned up to 10% overall volume with Pettit 97 Epoxy Thinner to help with rolling the material out a bit smoother.
Recoat times range from 3 hours (minimum) to 14 days without having to sand the surface. If you happen to go beyond that time window, sand the surface with 80 grit sandpaper, wipe the surface clean and continue with the application of the next barrier coat.
