Hey everybody, my name is Andy Miller and I am the creator of Boatworks Today… A little bit about myself and this show!

I went to college at St. Norberts just outside of Green Bay (GO PACKERS!) and finished up there with a BA in Psychology and Sociology. Finding out a little too late into the curriculum, I decided that I didn’t really want to spend the rest of my life listening to people complain about themselves (yea, I had some internships that left a bad taste in my mouth). So, after graduation I was off to figure out what it is that I REALLY wanted to do with my life.

I bounced around a bit, met the lovely person who is now my Wife, bought a sailboat and we lived on it for a while. Became a scuba instructor, but decided that boats were something that called out to me. I took an entry level apprenticeship position at one of the local marinas and after roughly 7 years with them I decided to pull the trigger and venture off on my own. Miller Boatworks was created, and the rest as they say is history! MBW focuses on cosmetic repair (gelcoat, paint, fiberglass) as well as custom woodworking & refinishing and complete boat restoration..

It’s 7 years later, I have a cool little girl (she’s the one at the end of all my videos) and I am finding myself wanting to find a way to spend more time with my family and less time away from home. So, being the gambling person that I am; I thought, “why not give the podcast idea a shot? I’m doing the work anyway, I should tape it and see what happens!”

So, here we are.. Time is going to pass regardless of what you’re doing, might as well spend it doing something productive! Right??

You might fall down on your face, roll the dice and have some faith!

Well, lets see what happens. Hope you join me for the ride!
